prosecco paloma cocktail

The Paloma is a tequila cocktail that doesn’t try too hard but always delivers. Made with grapefruit, lime, and a bit of fizz, it’s refreshingly tart with just the right amount of sweetness. It brings to mind the best parts of spring: the warm sun, nice breezes, and those short weeks when we actually have nice patio weather before my allergies force me back inside. Whether I’m winding down after a long day or mixing up a batch for friends, the Paloma never disappoints.

What I like about this recipe is that the sparkling water usually used in this recipe is replaced with Prosecco. It not only elevates the drink for me, but adds a crisp flavor that helps balance the tartness of the grapefruit even further. The result is a Paloma that feels refined yet effortless, making it just as enjoyable. In this blog post, I'll share how to make this elevated Paloma, great for any spring occasion.

About the Prosecco Paloma Cocktail

This recipe is made with the following ingredients…

  • Grapefruit juice
Fresh is best. I strongly suggest not using dried leaves for this recipe.

  • Lime juice
Fresh squeezed is going to hit better every time, but bottled works fine for this recipe.

  • Blanco tequila
You can use whatever blanco tequila you prefer! I use Teremana for this recipe.

  • Prosecco
Use your favorite Prosecco or sparkling wine for this recipe. I grabbed one from Trader Joe’s for this recipe.

A note about the recipe

Before we dive into the recipe, I want to take moment to share something important: while I have a dietician who helps with my personal health and wellness goals, I am not one myself. Because of this, I don’t provide detailed nutrition facts or count calories for my recipes. That said, I do my best to offer rough estimates of serving sizes. However, these are based on how I enjoy these recipes and it may not align perfectly with your preferences or needs.
